Details concerning the Annual product
If you purchase the Annual product, you must understand that exclusions relating to pre-existing medical conditions apply to each new trip.
Therefore, the effective date of the various coverages is considered at the time of each new departure and/or at the time of the first prepayment made to secure the availability of a new trip.
3- All coverages - Limitations and reductions of coverage and other exclusions
It is important to understand that the travel insurance contract contains limitations and reductions of coverage and other exclusions that are specific to each coverage you purchase. These restrictions are detailed in the travel insurance policy, a document you must read before the effective date of your contract.
For example, if the purchased product includes the Emergency Medical Care coverage, in addition to the exclusions related to pre-existing medical conditions, other exclusions apply, for instance high-risk sports, activities, or behaviours, excessive use of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxicating substances, war or armed conflict. Moreover, only care or treatments that are covered by your government health and hospitalization plan are covered by this travel insurance. For example, treatment provided for esthetic purposes is excluded.
If the selected product includes Accidental Death or Dismemberment coverage, other limitations and reductions of coverage and other exclusions apply. It includes, among other things, exclusions relating to terrorism and to the participation in a criminal or illegal act.
